BIOGRAPHY

I trained as an actor and practitioner at Bretton Hall Faculty of Prformance.  I have been performing and coaching actors since then, with some performance work in musical theatre and voice work as a voice actor since the late 1980's, with work in radio and on the film projects, made famous by the best-selling book The Guerrilla Filmmakers Handbook.

Early in my professional career I worked on film and television projects.  They included production work on Channel 4's (UK) Brookside and Hollyoaks.  In recent years I also worked as a Performing Arts Assessor for the BBC.  Among my other exploits, I have 20+ years experience as a lecturer in acting, working closely with professional artists, creatives and key figures in the industry.

I am an experienced drama practitioner/ actor, commentator on Film (Norwich Advertiser), motoring journalist/writer (for the 'best-selling' Classic Car Weekly, Volksworld & Classic Car magazines and autoclassic.com).  My live broadcast experience included contributions to national radio and my own local radio shows in Cheshire and in Merseyside, England. My interest in using my voice goes back to when I was 10 and wrote to Richard Straker, the legendary BBC continuity presenter.

As the voice of Discovery's Motor Trend TV's Auto Mundial (Primarily USA and world markets), I record the voice narration for the weekly 30 minute 'car news' television show that's been running 20 years.  I recently took over from the previous narrator Richard Nichols (BBC and ITV motorsport commentator), who recently retired after the first 20 years of the show.
